Current Card Count

I was putting stamps on the back of my cards for OWH and finally did a  card count I am at 35!!!!   Here is one of my latest;

I saw some of the most wonderful things at Stefani Tadio's blog so I thought I would give it a try.  Can I suggest that you have a pattern, and a plan, and LOTS of patience.  LOL I had none of these and I still think it turned out ok.  Not great but ok.
Forgot to post this one.  My hubbie wants to use this as our X-mas cards :)  The pattern is a freebie from Fred She Said I added several pearls and shimmery paper from Club Scrap with my trusty MS punch :)

Cards I made last week

When I craft I take inspiration from various places, blogs, message boards, magazines, even art.  Some times inspiration hits like a brick, other times it's what the heck do I do now that I have messed this up???? This card is by far one of my favorites that I have done and it was so by accident!  I got some glue where it shouldnt have been and thensmeared it with ink I some how got on my fingers and had to find some whay to salvage all the work I had put into the stiching. So I cut out the butterfly inked the edges to cover the glue smear I had left and mounted it on scraps that matched the thread.  A little hello stamp and ta da!

I have had this bear colored for awhile and not known what to do with her so I spent way too much time forcing this card to come togeather but I am happy with the results! Hand colored with pencils and sparkle gell pens. The scalloped circle is made using my corner rounder on a plain circle.
A little Anya Aloha any one? :) I tore the edges of of some flowery pink paper and roughed them up with my distress tool.  Anya is colored with pencils. Aloha is stamped with mini letter stamps I found in the dollar bin at Target and outlined with a pen and ruler.

I love, love, love origami this tree is one of my favorite patterns for cards.  It's super simple too!
Thats all for now more to post time permitting then theres 2 challenges I want to do this week....

P.S. Sorry for any spelling errors, can't spell my way out of a paper bag and my spell check isn't working...

Masculine Cards

Made a few masculine cards for OWH

All paper is club scrap as is the stencil
Crickitt :)

What happens when you don't really have a plan...

So my partner in creativity Krisa, came over to play yesterday and we didn't really have a plan just some crafting time to de-stress form the crappy week we both have been having.  She was playing with Glimmer Mists and stencils when I broke out my bag of random sequins... Madness ensued and now Krisa is making some specialty papers for us to craft with YAY!!!! We won't discuss how OCD girl sorted a half pound bag of mixed sequins... Love ya Krisa!  This is what we came up with, she did the paper design and I made the cards.

We were thinking that there would be lots of Christmas cards made for OWH so why not cover some of the other holidays during the winter season.
Lots more cards to post later

Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #15

I have never done a challenge before but I watch several challenge blogs.  When I saw this sketch from The Waltzing Mouse it spoke to me and my CAS muse.

After seeing this I came up with 2 versions I very literal and one slightly skewed...

I LOVE paint chips!

Once again a paint chip I also added a punched border and a tag that says miss you.  Pattern paper is DCWV, border punch is from Fiskars.

Have a great weekend!

More Cards for OWH

More cards!
Wanted to make some with no sentiments.

Images from Mo's Digital Pencil Colored with pencils.  I couldn't capture it on film but the water has glossy accents on it.  Papers on the upper picture are from my scrap stash, on the lower picture the papers are Club Scrap. I also ran the paper through my Big Shot the dark blue paper was run through 2 times repositioning the paper in between.

Flower is made with my new stamp set from Heartfelt Creations that matches the Daisy dies from Spellbinders  The paper pricking pattern is from Fred She Said's Blog.  I cut a circle out of the front of the card and mounted the flower inside.

More to come in the next day or so,
Enjoy

Operation Write Home

So I am working on Christmas cards for OWH and here are a few I have made in the last week
I love this one colored with pencils, edges inked, corner punches are confetti from MS punch

Image colored with pencils and from Elizabeth Dulemba
Image from Fred She Said cut out and colored with glitter pen.  I also used thin strips of card board instead of pop dots so it wouldnt be so high as to not fit in an standard envelope
Stencil gel pen and MS punch
