Operation Write Home Valentine's Blog Hop!

Happy Veteran's day to all the men in my family and to the men and women serving past and present!
Glad you stopped by on the OWH hop!
If you didn't start at the beginning please go to OWH Stars and Stamps  to start the hopping fun! You don't wanna miss anything!
 Just wanted to let every one know the deadline for sending in Christmas cards is past, and the deadline for Valentine's cards  is January 7th. Please send in cards or donations!!!!!  Also OWH is in the running for $$$$ from Joann's please go and vote daily at Joann's Craft for a Cause.
OK that's all the official stuff now on to the cards! :)
I made 3 special for the hop I find that I am a CAS card maker and scrapper so not a lot of frills here LOL

For the background I took scraps from my stash and did a herringbone technique I learned over at Club Scrap.  The strips are 1 inch wide and held down with strips from my Xyron.  The sentiment was computer generated and I cut heart out of some of the background papers. I couldn't of course do just one (fair warning this technique is crazy addictive! It will have you saving the littlest scraps.)  I think this one is my favorite that I have made so far;

The image is free from Elizabeth O. Dulemba and was colored with pencils, once again the sentiment was computer generated.  Last but not least I decided to try a new technique, Iris folding, with non-traditional Valentine's colors.

Paper is wrapping paper and scraps from my stash.  I like how it turned out I may try this again some time :)
Thanks for looking!

  3. Oh boy, something else to do with all those hundreds of tiny scraps of paper I've been saving! Thanks for the technique and also for the Iris folding card. I've got a whole book on that technique and still haven't made one, so you've inspired me to dig it out and try.
